It will be a fantastic weekend to join in some of these South Bay Events. There truly is something going on for everyone this weekend. Whether you decide to get together with some friends or take the whole family out, you are sure to have a blast.

Friday, April 25, 10:00am – 2:00pm

San Pedro Farmers Market – Heirloom vegetables, delicious food, live entertainment and craft vendors.

Friday, April 25, 6:30pm – 9:30pm

Wine and Beer Tasting and San Pedro Student Art Competition Fundraiser – Let your pallet enjoy tempting wine and beer samples paired with delicious South Bay foods. Funds will be raised to support local young artists who have submitted work for an art competition.

Walk 8:00am – 10:00am

Pub Crawl 10:00am – 2:00pm

27th Annual Pier-to-Pier Walkathon and Pub Crawl – The Richstone Family Center will be hosting a Walkathon and Pub Crawl to raise funds for child abuse prevention. Help support a wonderful cause, get some exercise, and then relax with a cold one by the beach!

Fairy Time in the Enchanted Garden – Fairy magic comes to life at the amazing South Coast Botanical Gardens. It will be an enchanting day of singing, dancing and storytelling with the fairies.

Earth Day Chalk Art Challenge – This event will be a great way to celebrate Earth Day. All ages are invited to participate in creating a chalk masterpiece as a tribute to the beautiful planet we live on.

Handmade in South Bay Spring Boutique – Over 40 local artisans will be contributing their handcrafted wares for this Spring Boutique. What a fantastic opportunity to get something special for the amazing woman in your life for Mother’s Day. Don’t forget to get something special for yourself too!

Yarn Bombing Community Workshop – Bring your own knit or crochet squares to share with the community. They will be assembled to make cozies for the trees around the creative arts center. Color, fiber and patterns will be meshed together to beautify the center.

Earth Day Celebration and Concert – Come join in the fun at one of the biggest Earth Day Celebrations the South Bay has to offer. There will be vendors selling delicious foods and eco-friendly wares as well as activities and music for the whole family to enjoy.

Sunday, April 27, 12:00pm – 5:00pm

Open Studios Day – This is one of my favorite South Bay Events! Every year I take my son here to meet the local artists, who are kind enough to open their studios up for the day. They share their crafts with the community through hands on workshops and art exhibits. You can even join in their musical circle and play one of the many instruments they have to share!

Sunday, April 27, 9:00am – 5:00pm

Day at the Landing – Take a closer look at sport-fishing and meet the crew that makes it happen. They will be hosting a day of fishing workshops for all ages and sport-fishing related activities.
