From Concerts to Car Shows the South Bay has something fun for everyone! Check out these upcoming events:

 

Friday September 6, 10:00am – 2:00pm

San Pedro Farmers Market – Heirloom vegetables, delicious food, live entertainment and craft vendors.

Saturday September 7

Free Fishing Days – This Saturday you can try your hand at fishing without needing a license! In addition, the city will be offering free fishing workshops.

Saturday September 7, 7:30am – 6:00pm

“Channel Island Adventure: San Miguel” by the Cabrillo Marine Aquarium – Travel by boat to San Miguel and explore this amazing Channel Island. Take a naturalist hike while you are there and learn about wildlife that inhabits the island, the geological features, and past inhabitants.

Where: Boat leaves from Ventura Harbor

Saturday September 7, 9:00am – 12:00pm

San Pedro Science Center Volunteer Day – Help the local community by volunteering at the Science Center. South Bay kids visit year round to learn about raising animals and food. It’s an opportunity to give back to an organization that does so much for our kids and community. Help out then explore this special place.

Edible Fall Garden Workshop – Join Master Gardener Lara Hughey and learn how to plan and plant your Fall Edible Garden! Children will participate in a garden-themed activity and story time while adults learn about edible gardening. If you’ve been harvesting seeds this summer, please bring them. There will be a seed swap and there will be seedlings for workshop participants!

Cost: $5 for adults $2 for children

Festival of Philippine Arts and Culture – This is the 22nd annual festival celebrating Philippine culture. Experience the Philippines through authentic food and music. Shop local vendors and support local businesses. Take part in workshops or grab a message in the park. Have fun!

September 7, 4:00pm – 8:00pm

Rock N Roll Car Show – Huge car show featuring hot rods, rat rods, custom bike and cars, street rods and muscle cars! There will be a live D.J., drinks and a raffle.
