South Bay Events

It’s going to be another exciting weekend full of events in the South Bay. There will be Halloween events and special Dia de los Muertos celebrations. Arts and crafts will be taking place as well as a ton of other activities. Make sure you do not miss out on any of the fun!

Thursday October 31 – November 3

Ports of Call Carnival and Festival – The event kicks off on Thursday with a Halloween Party. Then, Friday has a 70’s night theme and Saturday is a BBQ cook-off and bake sale. Sunday will wrap up with car and bike show. Bring canned food or toys to donate. The festival is sponsored by Justice for Murdered Children.

 

Friday November 1, 10:00am – 2:00pm

San Pedro Farmers Market – Heirloom vegetables, delicious food, live entertainment and craft vendors.

The Facebook Portraits – Enjoy the artistic work of Mike Reynolds as he explores the relationships between people and social networking sites through oil paintings and other mediums.

Friday November 1, 5:00pm – 10:00pm

Dia de los Muertos Festival – Come celebrate the lives of loved ones that have passed. Enjoy authentic Latin American food, crafts for the kids and amazing artistic displays.

Saturday November 2, 7:00am

American Red Cross Blood Drive – Don’t give all your blood to the vampires this holiday season! Give blood to someone in need.

Where: Torrance American Red Cross

Sunday November 3, 2:00am

Daylight Savings Time Ends! Don’t forget to set your clocks back 1 hour!

 

Sunday November 3, 10:00am – 4:00pm

Weaving and Fiber Festival – Vendors will be selling hand crafted goods and tools for creating your own masterpiece. Crafters will be there to share their knowledge and tips as well. There will also be a fashion show.

Sunday November 3, 9:00am – 11:00am

Manhattan Beach Hike and Brunch – Take an easy 4 -5 mile hike through beautiful Manhattan Beach.

Where: Live Oak Park by police memorial

1901 N. Valley Dr., Manhattan Beach
