Independence day is just around the corner and the South Bay is a fantastic place for Fourth of July festivities and fireworks. It really is amazing to see the fireworks sparkling off the ocean water in the beach cities. The South Bay also has huge festivals and tons of community events. We love to celebrate, so come and join us for these Fourth of July events!
USS Iowa
Celebrate Independence Day aboard the historic battleship the USS Iowa! You will not find yourself adrift as you enjoy delicious BBQ, wet your pallet in the beer garden, and then shuffle your way through the inflatable obstacle course. Taking a ship tour and learning more about our nation’s history is a very fitting and fun way to celebrate our independence.
When: July 4 – 6, 10:00am – 4:00pm
Where: Battleship USS IOWA BB-61
250 South Harbor Blvd., San Pedro, CA 90731
Korean Bell
Independence Day is only one of four days a year that the Korean Bell rings so you don’t want to miss it. This park is on a hill, making it one of the best places in San Pedro to view both the ocean and the fireworks.
Where: Korean Bell of Friendship and Bell Pavilion
3601 S Gaffey Street, San Pedro, CA 90731
Cabrillo Beach
Join in the festivities at the 64th Annual John Olguin July 4th Spectacular at Cabrillo Beach. This is one of my favorite South Bay fireworks shows. Coast Guard demonstrations and a fireboat show make this a unique experience. There will be food trucks in the early afternoon. In addition, fireworks are generally accompanied by a live orchestra!!
When: 2:00pm – Food Truck Festival
9:00pm – Fireworks
Where: Cabrillo Beach
3720 Stephen M White Drive, San Pedro CA 90731
Begg Pool
Keep cool in Begg Pool this Fourth of July weekend! Enjoy an afternoon splashing around or playing water balloon games.
When: 10:00am – 2:00pm
Where: Begg Pool
1402 North Peck Avenue, Manhattan Beach, CA 90266
Seaside Lagoon
This Independence Day celebration includes a little bit of everything: a drum circle, parade, fireworks reflecting off the water, swimming, a science show, a puppet show and a whole lot more!
When: 2:00pm – 9:30pm
Where: Seaside Lagoon
200 Portofino Way, Redondo Beach, CA 90277
Ranch Palos Verdes
Don’t miss out on one of the largest Fourth of July festivals in the South Bay. There will be helicopter rides, games, crafts and carnival rides. Try one of the myriad of options at the food court and toast to our independence at the beer and wine garden.
When: 11:00am – 5:00pm
Where: Point Vicente Park/Civic Center
30940 Hawthorne Bl., Rancho Palos Verdes, CA
